Objective of the project
The overall objective of the project was to develop wood procurement procedures and help timber entrepreneurs working in the Leningrad region.
Main activities
- Planning and implementing of the training programmes in Finland and Russia for the different target groups. - Evaluation of the training's results and outcomes. - Creation of aids, tools and materials for wood procurement in the north-west Russia. - Dissemination of the activities' results and outcomes.
Achievements
The following can be considered the most important final results of the project: a) The organisation and implementation of the thematic training courses concerning wood harvesting, entrepreneurship and business operations in the Leningrad region. b) The development of study modules and their publication in the virtual services of partner 1 Aalto Biz SBC. c) The distribution of up-to-date information and providing supplementary education about the best practices in wood harvesting work, machinery maintenance and secure working methods. d) The assessment of training provided and the skills of the target groups. e) Working out a model for risk management and safety improvement. These have all resulted in the general improvement of the know-how of Russian partners during the course of the project and due to the implemented activities.
