Subcontracting possibilities in the Republic of Karelia

Objective of the project

The company Kuusamon Uistin specializes on the production and sales of fishing, hunting and wildlife products. There are about 80 own products, the main product is constantly expanding collection of fishing lures. Other products include ice fishing gear and overalls, knives and ski bindings. The company is one of the suppliers of equipment for the Finnish Defence Force. Kuusamon Uistin at the time researched subcontracting and manufacturing opportunities in the Louhsky District of Karelia with financial support from Karelia Interreg. The project identified the need to modernize the company's computer systems to coordinate subcontracting, manufacturing and sales. As part of this project, the company planned to upgrade the computer system to a level that meets the needs. The necessary equipment was planned to be installed in the production premises of the company. When installing the equipment, it was supposed to take into account the possibility of subcontracting in the Loukhsky region.
