Promotion of Finnish water supply technology to the Republic of Karelia
Funded by Interreg II Karelia 1996-1999
Objective of the project
The main objective of the project was to facilitate the export of Finnish knowledge in the field of water supply (design, equipment, construction) to the Republic of Karelia. The water supply companies in Kainuu, North Ostrobothnia and North Karelia were quite small and the project aimed to lower the export threshold of such companies through cooperation and collaboration. The purpose of marketing events was to present Finnish technologies to key specialists in the field of water supply in the Republic of Karelia, to establish contacts between individuals and companies in the field of water supply technologies in the Interreg II Karelia region and to present the water supply system of the Republic of Karelia to the Finnish side.
