Objective of the project
The objective of the project was to increase the internationalization of food SMEs in North Karelia and improve their production activities by taking advantage of the opportunities offered by the border areas. The project was going to bring new oriental know-how and new jobs to the companies. Project partners involved in the project in the beginning were eight North Karelian food SMEs, and the Russian partners were the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of Petrozavodsk State University and the Baltic College of Tourism of St. Petersburg. The applicant discussed the project with partner companies and cooperation agreements were concluded with Russian partners.
