Objective of the project

The objective of the project was to develop cultural tourism in the Kainuu region based on the Kalevala epic by Elias Lönnrot. During the project, the interaction of tourism companies in the Kainuu region will be improved to create unforgettable cultural tours even for the most discerning tourists. Each Kainuu commune will have its own working group to coordinate activities within the commune and at the regional level.
