Objective of the project
Identifying bottlenecks, barriers and obstacles for cross-border economic interaction and trade
Main activities
• developing and implementing attractive e-commerce schemas • accomplishing required studies, including prefeasibility studies, surveys, literature review • identifying status quo, including bottlenecks, barriers and obstacles of e-commerce trade between Finland and Russia in the Karelia and North Finland regions; • developing recommendations that will remove the bottlenecks, barriers and obstacles of e-commerce trade between Finland and Russia in the Karelia and North Finland regions; to start networking
Achievements
Potential companies ready for exports were listed down. This can be used for further study and networking purposes. Understanding of the difficulties in and barriers towards doing cross-border e-commerce was achieved. Recommendations were provided for the companies about how to develop their e-commerce, for the officials about what policies and measures are the best to support the e-commerce and for the educational institutions about what studies and research projects are needed for developing Russia-Finland cross-border e-commerce.
