Objective of the project
The objective of the project was to establish an export service centre in St. Petersburg. This subsidiary leased international-class premises in the centre of St. Petersburg from Viking Bank. At the same time, 15 companies could operate in the rented premises, and if necessary, additional space could be rented in the same building. The office was engaged in marketing and export promotion of companies in St. Petersburg and its environs. The office was staffed by a marketing director and assistant who knew Russian market. They served all interested entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs were supposed to hire their own marketing assistant with a workplace and equipment in the office. The objective of the project was to create a clear and risk-free way for SMEs from the Interreg II Karelia region to enter the St. Petersburg market.
