International System Development of Advanced Technologies Implementation in Border Regions (SE604)

Objective of the project

The overall objective of the project was to set up a broad platform of long-term and sustainable cooperation between Russian and Finnish science and business societies for transfer of advanced technologies and effective use of partners’ competence in implementation of joint projects.

Main activities

- Organization of joint research on the principles of virtual laboratory and training on research equipment using APEM. - Setting up International Innovation Service Center, development its web based component for providing of the target groups by relevant services and virtual networking platform. - Launching start-up companies, information and consulting support of their activities.

Achievements

Project's objective was reached by designing and introduction of rules and regulations for conducting joint technology research (virtual laboratory), by creation of International Innovation Service Center as mechanism of cooperation and by launching start-up companies with information and consulting support of their activities. International Innovation Service Center (IISC) based on agreements what were concluded among DATIS project partners. According these agreements stakeholders continue operate after DATIS project termination. IISC also has agreement with Miktech Oy in Finland about further collaboration and support of new cross border projects. During DATIS project implementation there were initiated eight (8) Pilot Research Projects (PRPs). To the end of project they have different stages of development. Four of them are already under commercialization and have registered companies.
