Objective of the project
Creating and introducing new interactive museum services based on the local cultural identity.
• Developing new museum programs for visitors • Research and creation of visitors’ infrastructure for cultural heritage objects - Collection, systematization and translation of the information; creating replicas of archaeological finds, new research works of archaeologists in Kurkijoki. - Development and implementation of visitors’ infrastructure for cultural heritage objects. - Software for development visualization of historical data. • Creation new or re-designing present exhibition sections and improved outdoor museums areas - Development, production and installation of interactive exhibitions and a quest room. - Arrangement of the place for visitors’ rest nearby the building of Kurkijoki Center. • Involvement of local community and promotion of new services - Interaction with media (press conferences, participation in project events, news distribution, etc.). - Production of promotion souvenirs for further use in the project events/actions. - Summer program for Kurkijoki teenagers including clearing of the “fortress hill”, meetings with museum workers and archaeologists, excursions, etc - Public events/actions aimed at presentation of the project results for local residents. - Placing the information about new heritage objects and new services at the museums websites, tourists’ portals, social networks, websites related to the cultural heritage and other sources. - Printed products about new services. - Dissemination of the project experience at professional forums.
