Objective of the project
The project was a preliminary study exploring the possibilities for the development of fur farming, especially mink in Kuhmo and Kainuu. At most, there were 44 best fur farms in Kuhmo, now there are only three of them, one of which is mink. The project also aims to explore the possibilities of direct sales of mink skins to Russia and further processing of furs in Kuhmo and throughout the Kainuu region. The aim of the project was to study the possibilities of diversifying the production of fur farms in Kuhmo.
