From nature photography to a program service product

Objective of the project

During the project, the real estate needed for the business operations of the applying company was going to be renovated and the necessary equipment purchases needed for the programme, food and accommodation services were going to be made. The applying company is working in Vartius, with the Vartius border crossing station being located four kilometres from the company. The Park of Friendship is also nearby. On the other side of the border is the Kostomuksha national reserve, only a short drive away from the border crossing station and the Kalevala national park in Russia is under 100 kilometres away. The company was operating from an old border guard post, part of which had been renovated into accommodation spaces. An extra accommodation, dinner and meeting spaces for 10 to 20 people were going to be consctructed to the building. The company was planning to organize photo safaris and trips, as well as related training related and meetings and events with dinner and accommodation services to small special groups. The company was going to work as a part of the Nature Trips of Kainuu, through which the marketing was going to be handled by taking part in the marketing publications of the partners, marketing in special magazines and publications and through personal contacts.
