Development of rural tourism in LomaRinteelä

Objective of the project
LomaRinteelä is a rural tourism company founded in 1981, located about 25 km from Sotkamo. The company offers accommodation in modern girder cottages near water. Investments in the company were made mainly made in the end of the 1980s and 1990s, with the last cottage built in 1992 and the house in 1997. The company's services include: catering (half board or full board), room accommodation (breakfast and sauna), transfer (nine-person bus), smoke sauna, guided ski and hiking trails, café with B license, gazebo and shed barbecue, house for 40 people for events, trainings, parties and group services, as well as service in German and English. Recently, the number of Russian tourists has increased in the company. The goal of the project was to develop the company's activities and services in order to provide more services for Russian tourists. The need for development arose directly from the recipients of the services.
