Deepening cooperation between business and chambers of commerce between Finland and Karelia

Objective of the project

This is a joint project of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Oulu and North Karelia, aimed at improving cooperation between them and regional enterprises, as well as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Karelia. The aim of the project is to increase the knowledge of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Oulu and North Karelia about Russia and improve the level of services related to Russian trade, as well as inform about services that support cross-border trade. During the project, it was planned to organize four business meetings in Oulu, Joensuu, Kajaani and Petrozavodsk, each of which was determined for a specific business sector. Target groups of the meetings - textile, clothing and footwear, grocery, wood processing and forest industries, as well as information and environmental technologies and tourism. During the project the cooperation between handicraft and art producers will be expand by listing companies. Activities included bilateral meetings for companies and workshops for small businesses.
