Objective of the project
The purpose of the project was to create a working cooperation model between the civic social and health organisations operating or potentially being established in Karelia and the equivalent organisations operating in North Karelia.
Main activities
• the survey on civic social and health organisations operating in the Republic of Karelia and their cooperational needs with the other North Karelian organisations. • to create a registry of the civic social and health organisations operating in the implementation region of the project, their present activities and cooperation partners.
Achievements
The project surveyed the work of the civic social and health organisations operating in the Republic of Karelia and their cooperational needs with the other North Karelian organisations. The results of the survey were passed on to the civic social and health organisations operating in the Republic of Karelia, with the aim of creating organisational pairs for cooperation. The project supported the start of organisational cooperation by organising four orientation visits for North Karelian representatives of organisations interested in cooperation with the Republic of Karelia. Seven organisational pairs of civic social and health organisations formed joint cooperation partnerships during the project, three of which made concrete cooperation plans and one of which received project financing from the unit for neighbourhood cooperation of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, for cooperation in the Republic of Karelia. The project created a registry about the organisations already doing cooperation or applying for cooperation in North Karelia and the Republic of Karelia, which had been involved with the project. New project and cooperation needs emerged during the project.
